Six Still Life Drawings
Process
The process was pretty lengthy! It took me a week to complete one sketch, so in total six weeks to complete this project. I would work on it, on and off since I was busy enjoying my summer. I experimented and tried to do one self portrait and it was terrible! It didn't even look like me, my mom encouraged me to do one still life drawing and I enjoyed it much more than the self portrait, so I threw the portrait away and worked on only still life drawings.
Reflection
I tried to do a self portrait and I didn't enjoy it. I shouldn't have thrown it away, but if I didn't I would have been feeling weird, because it was so bad! Plus, why should I have something on here when I don't like it? Other than that, I love still life drawings. You can see them and draw them, when on the other hand if it were a self portrait, you'd have to take a photograph and then draw it. Still life is more simpler and is what it is, straightforward. My favorite sketch is probably the clock, the fake flowers and La Virgencita de Guadalupe. I liked the other ones, but not as much as these because they have more meaning to me than the other ones.
